The core is the small pad inside the diffuser that holds your aroma oil – and it’s the part that tends to disappear. Car washes hoover them up, they slip down the side of the seat while you’re refilling, and children find them interesting.

Fit a fresh core, add 8–10 drops of oil, and the diffuser works exactly as it did on day one. Nothing to unscrew, nothing else to replace.

A spare core is also the cleanest way to switch between scents, without the old blend lingering underneath.

I have been using snug scent lavender and Eucalyptus natural car freshener for quite some time now and our original has just run out so I purchased the refill to carry on with this scent. This works wonders for us not only is the scent a lovely not artificial scent it helps keep our autistic daughter who struggles with certain situations / transitions. She has this attached to the air vent at the front with her car weighted blanket on her lap and we are away. Definitely recommend it, this new scent is certainly stronger than the original as warned by lovely Rita but I would say make sure you put plenty on
